Rule L6f) Delete Rule completely and replace with:

 

          ‘‘Only one person who is designated a Non-EU player shall be registered by 

               a club at any one time and this registration shall not be made until after 

               his arrival in the EU. If a club registers a Non-EU player that registration       

               may be changed at any time up to midnight on the Thursday prior to the

              start of the season but after this time in only one of the following two

              instances: 1) the player reneges on his contract and does not play a match

              for his club or 2) the player sustains a serious physical injury whilst

              contracted to his club. Any request to change a Non-EU player in such

              circumstances must be made in writing to the Registration Secretary and

              accompanied by a copy of the initial player’s contract together with any

              supporting evidence including, for an application made under 2) above,

              certificates from two independent UK doctors stating that he will be

              unable to play cricket until after the end of the season.. The player

              qualification criteria for this Rule is shown in the Appendix.’

Rule L8f) Add the following words to the first sentence, after the current last word ‘lists’.

 

                  ‘…….together with the match balls for each innings.’

Rule L8n) Delete ’20 minutes’ and replace with:

 

            ‘’30 minutes.’    

            

Note: The Executive will be consulting the UA to ensure that the timing of the new 30-minute interval is strictly carried out as per Law 15 (Intervals - 3a Duration of.) and that 30 minutes is not exceeded.

Rule L9c) Add third sentence to this Rule:

 

             ‘In any one season should a club fail to provide such an umpire it shall be 

             fined , on its third and each subsequent transgression, a sum equal to the all 

             inclusive umpires’ expenses, referred to in Rule L10, plus 33.33%. All such

             fines shall be separately audited and the total re-distributed in equal

             shares, each October, to all clubs with a 100% provision rate.

Rule L9d) Delete the second part of the sentence commencing: ‘…..and this limitation’. Add full stop after ‘twelve overs’ and then add new second sentence as follows:

 

            ‘Where team overs have been reduced under the provisions of Rule L8j

             then the maximum of twelve shall be similarly reduced by one over for

             every four overs deducted.

Rule L9e) Delete Rule completely.

 

Note: All League, Sykes Cup & Paddock Shield competition matches now revert to 50 overs per side with all start times as follows: April to the Saturday before Sykes Cup Final – 1.30pm, Sykes Cup Final to 31 August – 1.00pm, September 12.30pm.

Rule L10c) Delete numbered paragraphs shown in the first sentence and the whole of the third sentence and replace with:

 

             1) Scheduled 100 overs match officiated by two umpires: £29.00 each’

(delete £26.00)

                  2) Scheduled 90 overs match officiated by two umpires:  £26.00* each’

 

             3) Scheduled 100 overs match officiated by one umpire:  £36.50

(delete £34.00)

                  4) Scheduled 90 overs match officiated by one umpire:   £32.50**’

 

             5) Any scheduled match where no play is possible: £13.00 per umpire.’

Note:. With clubs having voted to return to a blanket 50 overs per team format the 90 overs formula above is now superfluous but will be introduced should a return to part 45 overs be made as this is a definitive club majority vote.

Rule L13d) Delete the words ‘in liaison with the Executive Secretary’ and replace with:

 

            ‘by ensuring it is delivered to the League’s engravers, Ballcraft of 

            Almondbury, for updating.
